From conference and banqueting rooms to our exhibition space, to opportunities to taste local wine and food and walk among the vines, Miège has everything to help you get to know the vineyards of the Valais.

 

Situated in the heart of the vineyards, the TERRE ET VIN building provides a superb introduction to the wine-growing culture of the Valais, "the land of sunshine".

Rooms hire

There's more to the TERRE ET VIN building than leisure activities. It also has two conference/function rooms available for hire, which are ideal for both business and social events. The Salle des Combles has audio-visual equipment and the Salle du Remaniement has a small kitchen.

Restaurant

Le Relais Miégeois is a friendly café-restaurant, situated in the centre of the delightful village of Miège. It offers traditional fine French cuisine, whilst showcasing local products. The establishment comprises a brasserie, an elegant modern restaurant, and a large, sunny terrace.

Activities

Espace terroirs - Wine-growing areas exhibition 

First of all, you go down into the exhibition area to find out how the elements have slowly fashioned these picturesque landscapes and their fertile soils. Scientific content, ingenious design and digital technology come together to take you travelling through time, via an educational exhibition which, like the area's inhabitants, is definitely a bit different. 

 

Relais Miégeois - Discover Wine

Here, we focus on the here and now. We invite you to sample the region's best vintages and enjoy some local specialities such as dried meat, bacon and cheese.

Espace terroirs (exhibition) :

With the help of a guide, find out about the subsoils of the Valais wine-growing area, with its different rocks, its biodiversity, its winds and waters, its people – all the factors that affect our soils and landscapes, and our wines.

Sentier des Terroirs - trail

After feeding body and mind, it's time to take a little exercise, for example by walking along the Sentier des Terroirs (Geology and grapes trail). This educational trail forms a loop, which connects the Sentier viticole (Wine trail) and the Chemin du vignoble (Vineyard trail), winding its way through the vineyards to the village.

Wildlife information points, display of rocks found in the Valais, collection of vine varieties, exploration of local vineyards.
